Ricky de Medeiros

Ricky de Medeiros is a versatile and unique guitarist blending Flamenco, Jazz, classical fingerstyle and Latin grooves. Born in Brazil, he mastered his craft learning from music legends, earning him a reputation in Latin guitar. He’s shared the stage with Latin Grammy winners Romulo Castro and Mireya Ramos. Now based in New Zealand, Ricky’s fingerstyle skills have wowed crowds at top events. He’s recorded with award-winning LatinAotearoa and performed live on TVNZ with Sony Music’s Yulia. Ricky’s highlights include performing Brazil’s anthem at Brazilian Day, opening for Brazilian big names such as Gabriel Sater, concert with the west city orchestra and tango ensemble concerts with Oceania champions. Rick’s performed in dozens of weddings, corporate events and had lengthy residencies in several restaurants and bars in Auckland. He can read the room and create the right vibe for any occasion, including some up-beat songs up on his sleeve that are sure to get everybody dancing.
