David Haslett started his professional music career at Orange Studio as an audio engineer and session musician and now performs regularly with some of New Zealand’s top talent as a singer and guitarist. David Haslett played well over a thousand gigs including weddings, events, music tours and festivals. He uses his experience to make the planning and execution of an event seamless and stress free, and loves engaging with the crowd while creating a complimentary atmosphere. David is also available as part of his party band Party Next Door as a duo, trio and full covers band.

Had David Haslett playing acoustic music at my wedding in March and he was absolutely amazing. He has a very good voice and everyone has told me how they loved the live singing at the wedding ! Wow!! What a dancefloor & what a voice! We can not thank you enough for the beyond amazing entertainment you put on for our big day. You were nothing short of fantastic from a live Tiny Dancer as our signing the registry song to enabling Wayne belt out his version of Bo Rap, our day was epic and a lot of that comes down to you! And that first dance, Wayne couldnt believe how incredible that version was! The compliments were coming thick and fast from all the guests from the incredible (so sad i missed it) canape set to that seriously epic (apologies for my terrible dancing) dance floor you had going. I can’t remember the last wedding I went to that had such a good dance floor! You helped make it the best day!!

Having David play live music throughout the day from the ceremony to canapés to the dance floor was perfect. The guests raved about him all day and for weeks after. You don’t need a five piece band to get the dance floor pumping and guests chanting “one more song” at the end of the night when the music needed to be turned off is proof of that!
