Sion & Josh

Sion & Josh are a professional acoustic duo capable of playing a huge variety of musical styles and genres. They are comfortable performing in all sorts of environments from bars to weddings, and have performed all over the south island. Sion has been singing for well over 10 years. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts (majoring in Music Performance), from the University of Canterbury achieving exceptional academic results, and was awarded the Leigh and Judith Pownall Scholarship for all round excellence in music performance in 2019. Since graduating she has been an avid performer in the local Christchurch music scene with various bands and local musicians. Currently the lead singer of the prominent covers band Ready Salted. Sion has a strong passion for music theatre and has had many years experience performing in various shows and events, the most notable of which was being the lead character in Miss Saigon by Showbiz in 2019. Josh has been playing guitar and drums for a combination of 20 years. He is a student of grammy award winning percussionist Justin DeHart, and has been a professional musician for the past 4 years. Josh will be performing in a 2024 tour with the Pink Floyd Project all around New Zealand.
