Maori Cultural Experience

The Maori Cultural Experience is committed to providing our audience with a professional, unique and authentic Kapa Haka experience while upholding the values and tikanga of our heritage and ensuring cultural integrity.  The cast of The Maori Cultural Experience derives from New Zealand’s most successful Kapa Haka troupe, Te Waka Huia. Te Waka Huia is a pan-tribal Kapa Haka that has established itself as one of Aotearoa’s premier performing arts teams.

Welcoming Ceremony (10-15 minutes)

Our Haka pōwhiri – traditional Māori welcoming ceremony, is a unique and powerful way to open events, acknowledge special guests and add an authentic cultural layer to celebrations.  This cost includes 6 performers. 

Signature Cultural Performance (30 minutes)

Experience our signature cultural performance showcasing waiata-a-ringa (action songs), poi (poi dance), and haka (war dance), ensuring an immersive cultural experience that will leave a lasting impression.  This cost includes 6 performers and english commentary. 

Cultural Celebration Packages (1 hour)

A 1 hour facilitated session featuring an immersive cultural performance and interactive workshop with high-level audience participation.
