Jarni Blair

Jarni Blair was Inspired by his father’s record collection and a mixture of modern artists. Jarni’s style is influenced by The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jeff Beck, John Mayer, Ed Sheeran and many others. He has been playing live gigs since he was fifteen, performing in bands, duos, and also as a solo performer which is his mainstay currently. Gigs have ranged from bars, restaurants, birthday parties, gatherings, weddings and more. He also plays a diverse range of music to satisfy everyone in the room encompassing rock, pop, blues, funk, reggae, soul, R n B, jazz, and singer songwriter to name a few. Jarni has also played with some big wigs in the industry including Jason Kerrison, Jordan Luck Band, and gained the attention of one of NZ’s biggest acts, Drax Project in December 2019 via a music competition they put out. He also plays in “Summer Thieves” who are a well established act playing big shows and festivals. Despite the covid outbreak from 2020 onwards, Jarni has managed to stay productive and active with his music, having done a national tour with “Summer Thieves” in July and early August 2020. “Summer Thieves” also opened up for L.A.B. in July 2021 at TSB Arena in Wellington and Claudelands vents centre in Hamilton. They have also done two Aussie tours opening up for L.A.B. in April 2022 and April 2023 respectively.
