Funk Shul

Funk Shui is a 3 piece funk, soul and pop covers band based in sunny Hawke’s Bay. Formed out of a love for slick grooves, sweet harmonies and good vibes, they are seasoned musicians who have played everything from intimate weddings to big stadium events. From soulful ballades to dance floor bangers, they have got you covered!

Between the 3 of them, they have performed with artists and in bands such as Little Bushman, Iva Lamkum, Aaradhna, John Psathas, Rodger Fox, Louis Baker, Rapture Ruckus and Hollie Smith. They are no strangers to some of Hawke’s Bay’s premier venues, playing at Craggy Range, Black Barn, the Old Church, Mission Estate, Century Theatre, Toi Toi and more.

Micah Robinson (drums & lead vocals)
Caleb Robinson (bass & backing vocals)
Nat Meszaros (keys & lead vocals)

Both Caleb and Nat hold a Bachelor of Music with first class honours from the NZ School of Music in jazz bass and classical piano respectively. You can also book Natalie as a solo artist to take care of the more intimate part of your events or to make a band booking a full day service with Natalie taking care of ceremony & cocktail hour!
