Alexander Yevstifeev

Alex Yevstifeev is a Queenstown based saxophonist originally from the USA. Growing up in New York, he played in local jazz big bands and combos before attending the Eastman School of Music for classical training. With over 15 years of experience performing, Alex is experienced in a wide variety of  styles from classical to bebop swing, and is comfortable with improvising and sight reading. He currently plays with a variety of local groups including the Queenstown Jazz Orchestra, Alchemy, and Corazon Latino. Alex often plays local gigs in Queenstown and Arrowtown, and has been featured in the Christchurch Big Band festival’s All Star band. He plays Soprano, Alto, and Baritone Sax, so whatever the style you can book Alex in for your next event.
